Joshua Mason Scobell

Daily Herald
Joshua Mason Scobell loving husband, father, son, brother and friend returned to our Heavenly Father February 12, 2007.

Joshua was born September 23, 1976 in Santa Monica, California to Rodney and Mary Scobell.

His family moved to Provo when he was 17 where he graduated from Provo High School in 1994. He served the Lord two years in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma mission. He returned home and married his "babe" Melanie Evans on June 7, 2002 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.

He had worked for Fed Ex and for the past few years was building custom homes.

Josh lived his life as a perfect example of his faith, and love for the Savior.

He had a special gift....every person he met walked away feeling like they were his best friend. His concern was always for others. He was kind, generous, and always available with a helping hand. He was non-judgmental, and offered a listening ear to those in need. Josh radiated a light that influenced and uplifted all. His example and the way he lived his life are patterns that those who knew him will forever try to emulate.

He adored his little "stink-a-roo" Ashley. Being with his family was his greatest joy and he was happiest showering them with treats and surprises.

He is survived by his loving wife, Melanie Evans Scobell, daughter Ashley, parents Rodney and Mary Scobell, siblings Rodney Scobell, Heather (Rick) Arciniega, Justin (Michelle) Scobell, and Alex Scobell.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 17th, 11:00 A.M. at The Cedars Ward Building, 10381 Bayhill Dr., Cedar Hills, Utah. He will be buried in Pleasant Grove.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Joshua Scobell Memorial Account at any Wells Fargo Bank. For details please contact Becky Childs at (801) 766-2691.
